From the West to the East!!

August 31. Enjoyed listening to Newfoundland music and humour at a local pub in Rocky Harbour. The band's name was Anchor's Aweigh and we laughed 'til our sides hurt!

August 31. Remnants of the S.S. Ethie which ran aground in 1919 at Martin's Point near Sally's Cove. In case you were worried, everyone was rescued.

August 31. The Jenniex Heritage House at Woody Point - an example of a saltbox house. This type of house can be found all over the island, but most have been renovated and remodelled and look very modern.

August 31. View from a lookout on the James Humber Trail at Woody Point. Note the odd-shaped trees caused by exposure to strong winds and salt water.

August 29. Two of dozens of gorgeous sunset pictures Ted took from our campground at Corner Brook.

August 27. The view from the ferry as we crossed the Atlantic from North Sydney, NS to Port aux Basques, NF. After 13 years of promising ourselves that we'd go back, we're finally on our way!!
August 20. Spent a few days in Toronto before heading to the Maritimes. We enjoyed lunch with Ted's brother and sister-in-law, Don and Nancy, at the Sicilian Sidewalk Cafe in Little Italy.
August 15. Our last stop in the west before heading east. We stocked up on vegetables from Kim & Elvin's gigantic garden in Yorkton, SK.
August 11. Couldn't miss Doug Cassell's retirement party in Sicamous, BC. It was great reminiscing about the good old days with all the CP retirees and those soon-to-be-retired. It's a great life!!
August 5. With Cheryl complaining all the way up, we climbed Mt. Baldy near Nordegg. Chris & Carla look like they're on top of the world (and it seemed like we were). The view was incredible!
Clayton & Melanie
August 4. After our visit to the Icefields, we went on a 5 mile (round trip) hike to Siffleur Falls. It was well worth it as you can see. Clayton, Cheryl & Ted

August 4. Happy Birthday, Clayton! To celebrate we went to the Columbia Icefields.

After the anniversary party we went back to Lethbridge for a couple of days and then we went to Fish Lakes for our annual Salken family August long weekend get-together.

July 28. Our first stop was Cheryl's sister and brother-in-law's 50th wedding anniversary party in Cabri, SK. Congratulations, Joyce & Ken!! Despite the +35 degree heat, we all had a great time visiting with family and friends.

Hi Ted and Cheryl, now that Linda sees what you are doing and enjoying what you are doing we are coming up with possible options for us. Keep enjoying and look to where you are heading not back where you were..

Cheryl seems like you might be enjoying the travel after all. And Ted remember coolers do come in glass bottles.
